About

BoltHub Play started as a group chat where four friends kept sending each other screenshots of weird mobile games. At some point the chat got too big for a chat, so we built a site. Nothing fancy — just a place to keep our notes in order and share them with people who hate downloading junk.,We cover everything, because our tastes are all over the place. One editor lives for turn-based tactics, another plays nothing but cozy farming sims. That's on purpose. When we review a puzzle game and a racing game in the same week, you get a fuller picture of what the mobile space actually looks like.,How we pick what to review is simple. Someone plays a game for at least a few hours, past the tutorial and the honeymoon phase, and if they have something real to say, it goes on the list. We don't review things we quit in ten minutes out of boredom — unless the boredom itself is the story.,We don't take money to say nice things, and we don't run a scoreboard of who paid most. Our ratings are opinions, loud and sometimes wrong, but ours.

Markus Hoffmann — Markus has been reviewing games since the days of physical demo discs and now spends most evenings with a phone in one hand and a notebook in the other. He's the one who insists every game gets at least three sittings before a verdict.
