Frontier Command

Frontier Command took the bulk of a genre I love and shrank it onto a touchscreen without losing the brain-tingle. You command small squads across tight maps, managing supply lines and choke points in matches that rarely run past fifteen minutes. The pinch-to-zoom camera is smooth and the unit selection never fought me, which is half the battle on mobile.

The campaign teaches you properly, then throws modifier maps at you that force new tactics. I lost a mission four times before realizing I was ignoring the fog mechanic entirely — and that 'aha' moment is exactly what I want from strategy.

Skirmish mode against the AI is solid for solo play. It's not the deepest RTS you'll ever touch, but for a phone it's shockingly satisfying.
